Every day we face different challenges. To meet these challenges, we need to learn a lot of skills. We need to develop self-discipline. We can learn a lot from Navy SEAL. They are the elite of special troops in the US and one of the best in the world.
1-Navy SEAL’s have a philosophy
“The more you sweat in times of peace, the less you bleed in times of war.”
Navy SEAL’s train with chaos and when everything is going wrong.
Let’s say you have an exam, an important football match or a competition you have to face.
You need to learn, practice and train hard to achieve your goals.
If you are hard on yourself during the training, the challenge waiting for you will become more comfortable.
The other side of the coin is if you are easy on yourself during the training the challenge will be hard for you.
2-Set a mindset of winning
Make a list of everything or events you have succeeded no matter how small they are and read it every day. This exercise will help you create a mindset of winning that will build your confidence.
3-Set small goals throughout the day
It is all about confidence and believes in yourself.
If you set small goals like making your bed in the morning, training, reading. You have accomplished a lot of small goals.
This exercise will program your mind that if you hit small goals every day, you will hit big targets in the future.
4-Face a consequence for not hitting a goal
A Navy SEAL will always face with extra exercise and fatigue for not hitting the goal.
When you don’t hit a small goal, face with something you hate. It may be a cold shower, push-ups, running or anything.
The reason is that when you face a consequence, then it is done. You have the clear consciousness for not hitting the goal and move on to the next one.
5-Train when you don’t feel like it
Navy SEAL’s can’t just train when they are feeling good. They prepare every day. They train even if they are sick.
For example, let’s say you have an essential exam after two weeks. You will not study today because you are sick, but if you are sick the day you have an exam are you going to quit?
